Meet Scott A. Bissell, M.D.

Dr. Bissell joined SportsMedicine Partners and the practice of Dr. Barry Messinger in April 2007.  He enjoys seeing patients with a variety of non-operative and operative orthopedic sport injuries.  He performs a variety of surgical procedures, including arthroscopic repairs and reconstructions of the knee, shoulder and elbow.

Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

During his fellowship at Kerlan-Jobe, he had the opportunity to work as an Assistant Team Physician for many of the professional sports teams located in Southern California. While in fellowship, Dr. Bissell gained particular expertise in the evaluation and treatment of high-level throwing athletes.

Having growing up locally in Tolland, CT, Dr. Bissell enjoys remaining active in the community.  He serves as a team physician for the Windsor and Windsor Locks High School.  Additionally, he participates in the coverage for the Hartford Wolfpack (AHL) hockey team.
